About Me

I’m Danielle Ford, a Senior Front End Engineer at Yahoo, based in Denver.
I build accessible, high-performance web applications – mostly React, Next.js, and TypeScript. I’ve worked across healthcare, automotive, home services, data analytics, and insurance, at companies ranging from small startups to the Fortune 100.
Alongside engineering, I’ve trained in design, UX, psychology, mindfulness, and mental health. The projects I find most interesting bring those together: designing tools and building experiences – online and in the workplace – that support users and developers alike by being as intuitive, accessible, and easy to use as they can be.
In practice that runs in two directions. For users, it means interfaces that ask less of them – clear flows, readable data, content that’s reachable whatever you’re using to reach it. For the people building it, it means documentation, shared standards, component libraries, and team processes that make the work easier to pick up and less costly to maintain.
I write here about front-end craft and digital accessibility, with a particular interest in mindfulness, mental health and disability advocacy. I also write about building supportive engineering culture – how teams build environments that genuinely support the people working in them.
If any of this overlaps with what you’re working on, I’d like to hear about it.
